Just so you know. We were once the young folks on the block. We raised three children on this street. At least we always said hello to our older neighbours on the street. It would be nice if you did the same.

As they pass right in front of me, the oher neighbour turns and waves. The first keeps his head down and doesn't even pause in the conversation.

My morning note to my Ottawa local neighbours: It is -23 C out right now. I am putting out snow encrusted garbage by the street. A neighbour is a few meters away waiting for another neighbour to catch up.
