Anyone besides me expecting a whole new generation of Trump children/grandchildren with bone spurs? And if Pete H is so eager to cosplay war personas, can he be in the front lines? Just saying...#AreWeSafeYet?

We hope you consider joining us!
We also continue to accept donations (think of all those patients you are helping get better access to CRC care), sponsors, and volunteers for both races. C4 will have outreach booths at both races and our board members from each region will be in attendance. 5/5
We aim to make these races fun, educational (inflatable colon at each), supportive of survivors and caregivers/loved ones impacted by colorectal cancer, and general advisory about people always needing to be their own best advocates when presenting with symptoms, independent of age. 4/5
We are adding a new race in Northern California and holding this race on the UC Davis campus (limited cars, beautiful arboretum, open space). The SYGSYB-NorCal is Sunday, May 17 and offering 1mi (untimed), 5k and 10k (timed) races. You can check out the event below. 3/5 charity.pledgeit.org/C4NorCal
improve their colorectal cancer screening rates & improve access to follow up care. We are offering our 4th annual race in San Diego - distances of 1mi (untimed) and 5k (timed), along with educational opportunities and celebration of survivors. 2/5

A friendly reminder that the CA Colorectal Cancer Coalition (all volunteer nonprofit) has two races coming up that help support our C4 community grants programs. The race is: Screen Your Gut - Save Your Butt (SYGSYB). Cacoloncancer@bsky.social

for a week trying to call them for a replacement sensor that I had already indicated was defective and instead of sending me a new one, I got the "app interference" and "restart your phone" responses. #MedSky

Interesting FDA finding on the Abbott CGM devices. If they asked patients, guessing I am not the only one who has been shipped defective sensors and when they never register to read, good luck getting them to pick up the phone to send another. I wasted almost an hour a day
Interesting finding coming up on Medpage. I have found this is often true for colorectal cancer screening. Docs also tend to amplify their "trauma" about having to do their first colon prep. Try being a Lynch patient and docs finding reasons 3mo apart to repeat

RIP Alex - I am heartbroken for you and your family.
This ππ» and the photos of Jack Smith seemingly aging 10y for every year Trump is in office - reflecting how we all feel like we are being nonstop traumatized by these actions. My new cancer diagnosis (#4) pales in comparison to the profound moral failure being demonstrated in our country right now.
Our society has turned into an abomination. When filling my surg-oncology questionnaire for cancer #4, I have little anxiety about my current circumstances but profound sense of loss for our country. #MedSky

Jack Smith is all rational thinking adults in the US right now - aging 10y for every year Trump is in office. Jack Smith is an American hero - history will be very unkind to the people facilitating our current nightmare government.
Γ lot of Tracy Chapman songs have been resonating with me of late for feeling relevant
Not surprising, this is a CA whiskey
lolβ¦my version
Yes...I am a mutant but according to my colleague who is an expert in Lynch, my family is "atypical" in that weird cancers not commonly attributed to my mutation seem to dominate. BTW: this is the "space/lane" of my professional life so I know the risks & how to advocate.

But will settle for it just not being site of a primary metastatic lesion - three prior cancers and cancer genetic mutation
Yeah not so lucky - second one was for a FNA of a mass in the peritoneal space, best accessed through the rectum (IR took a hard pass on it when previously referred to them). Malignant - just waiting for the path report to IDβ¦symptoms suggest a neuroendocrine tumor - hoping G3 NET v NEC
Weird to now be in the head space of hoping for new primary rather than mets from a previous one.
lolβ¦I always doβ¦usually Sees candy. Just realized that should have been part of my argument for unexplained weight loss. βCause I have been scanned A LOT since September & yet weight loss continued. Sucks to be right-doc doing the biopsy today thought the abdominal mass is definitely malignant.
Just made it through my second colon prep in 3mo - the only saving grace was using multiple flavors in each 16oz - one for each of the eight. Pretty sure that just makes me hate them all now but still better than the pineapple flavor of the old days. Could be worse and be banana. W
No control over the fact that part of that process requires nonmasking and scans are highly suggestive of new malignancy so surgery next after surgeon knows what type of mass this is. Prior hx suggests generally crappy lungs would hope to not have a respiratory infection going into the next thing.
People have completely lost any semblance of how to reduce spread of respiratory infections - uncovered, open mouth coughing everywhere. Think there are only 2 of us masking in the entire airport. When I headed out 2w ago, not nearly that obvious. Have biopsies scheduled for Monday
The flights or in the airports seems unconcerned β it is a cough fest everywhere! Flying back early for biopsies on Monday - will be a month delay if my masks/OCD infection ctl measures fail me. Canβt get vaccinated because of immune disorder and anaphylaxis to vaccines. #MedSky #IDSky
Okay people - if you are traveling and have a respiratory infection and/or cough, how about you re-embrace a little concern for your flight mates and wear a mask!! If not, you are a part of the problem not the solution - aka, it is not all about you. I am equally appalled that everyone working
Truth!! Heading to the airport in the morning - no way I would go near an airport or airplane without one
Hey @anthropic.com - consistent code glitch with Sonnet 3.5. Your calendar is wrong and Claude keeps glitching on timing sequences. It is off by a day and thinks Monday is January 6, 2026. #MedSky #AISky #ChallengeAIErrors
