So when people are like “all my queer friends are leaving” it’s like all the rich white ones though? White folks will be okay almost anywhere. White queer people many but not all. So what about all the multi-marginalized folks who are queer and BIPOC and disabled? What happens to us?

The UK hates trans people. France hates MENA people and Muslims. Things are bad here, yes, but again, when people talk about how “everyone” is fleeing the USA I feel like it’s disingenuous, it really is mostly healthy, white, rich people, and that can absolutely include queer folks too.

A friend brought up that even if you have LOTS of money many countries won’t let you immigrate bc they still consider you a “drain on the system.” Re: a professor who wanted to go to Canada and who was refused despite being rich bc her young son was autistic. Canada fucking hates disabled people.

Because my quality of life is largely subjective based on how much of a human being the doctor I’m seeing thinks I am. Or how it was reported that doctors had contests on who could have the most maid patients one year.and then those people usually stop talking to me.

Every time someone tells me to “just move to Canada” to get “healthcare” I ask if they know of the MAID program and how doctors stop treating people who AREN’T terminal, then claim their quality of life is low and Recommend assisted suicide. Or how I would very likely be one of those people, (1/?)
