YES!!!
Thank you, Reverend Jackson. Rest in Power.
So proud to be a Seattleite - today and every day! Go Hawks! ππ
Ebony Magazine for the win.
Yowza! And thank you @wyden.senate.gov!
Make sure your vote counts when sending your ballot by mail!
Looks like the Ministry of Public Enlightenment and Propaganda is alive and well in America.
The tonal shift at @cbsnews.com is striking - and not in a good way. It's been one of my go-to news sources for most of my 50 years on this planet. I've already left @cbsmornings.bsky.social and really hope I don't have to give up on @facethenation.bsky.social.
Today should've been the 53rd anniversary of Roe v Wade. No matter what SCOTUS or any anti-choice lawmaker or politician says, abortion rights will always have advocates and protectors, and I'm proud to be among them.
Beautiful statement from Renee's wife, Becca Good...and one she absolutely should not have had to make, except for ICE.
"On Wednesday, January 7th, we stopped to support our neighbors. We had whistles. They had guns."
The head of Minnesota's state investigations agency says the U.S. attorney's office has cut off its access in the fatal shooting of a Minneapolis woman by an ICE agent. https://to.pbs.org/4qD81KW
"Unlike the twin light beams that commemorated the Sept. 11, 2001, attack or the stand-alone chairs at the Oklahoma City bombing site memorial, the failure to recognize Jan. 6 has left a gap not only in memory but in helping to stitch the country back together."
I love this team! Go Hawks! @seahawksofficial.com
Still waiting for an answer! bsky.app/profile/did:...
BREAKING: Love is (still) love.
Across the country, from VA to CA, voters showed up for this week's election and clearly said they want an America that serves all its people, not just billionaires. As Ted Lasso would say, "I believe in hope. I believe in 'believe.'".
Thank you @merkley.senate.gov for holding the Senate floor overnight (and still going strong!) to shine a light on how Trump and the GOP are turning their backs on the American people.
I still love the Seattle Mariners and always will! π±
My, oh my, itβs salami time in Seattle! βΎπ±π

βThe defendantsβ obfuscation of this Courtβs request for information regarding whether their RIF plans comported with the preliminary injunction has wasted precious judicial time and resources and readily support contempt proceedings.β - U.S. District Judge Royce Lamberth
Joan Jett quoting Lincoln at a Billy Idol concert is everything I need in this world! We are the people!π€
105 years ago today the Womenβs Suffrage movement achieved its goal with the passing of the 19th amendment. Today, Trump and his Cabinet flirt with the very people and ideas that would have Womenβs right to vote destroyed.
This is about an autocratic administration that wants activists and opposition to sit down and shut up. Stay safe, DC. And don't give in or give up.
This is about our Nation's Capitol and its populationβincluding its police departmentβnot having states' rights.
This is about a rich administration attacking unhoused people, poor people, and people living with mental illness and/or addiction because they don't fit in with the white marble monuments.
This occupation of DCβand it is an occupationβisn't about stopping crime. This is about a racist administration attacking Chocolate City for being majority Black.
The danger isn't in the streets. It's in the government. That's where the threats are, that's where the toxic people are, that's where the criminals are.
DC is as safe as any city. I lived there for 12 years until just recently, and not one reason I left was because of crime. I lived in the same apartment in NE and walked the same streetsβusually alone, sometimes late at night, and always without incident.
