Larval Zebrafish can perform evidence integration in a visual random dot motion task.

We developed an automatic high throughput fitting method for latent variables inference studying different zebrafish larvae developmental stages and larval zebrafish mutants.
Deadline is approaching for the best school on collective behavior :D apply now . any questions, just reach out to me.
Our new preprint highlights the importance of quantitative behavioral models in showing that integration parameters are differentially modulated in larval zebrafish mutants so one can relate latent variables to potential biological implementations. Check preprint: www.biorxiv.org/content/10.6...
New work from @bahllab.bsky.social et al. π
An exciting study with Roberto Garza and Armin Bahl
biorxiv.org/content/10.6...
We combine high-throughput behavioral assays in larval zebrafish with drift-diffusion modeling studying integration dynamics across development and a variety of mutants . Give it a read :D
Students & postdocs π Apply by April 16 for our Theoretical Biophysics workshop. Topics include active matter, non-equilibrium thermodynamics, development, behavior, evolution + more.

Genuinely delighted about this yearβs CASCB Spring Retreat and energized to feel that, as a community, we are exactly where we want and need to be!
Huge thanks to all the incredible people, across academic stages, disciplines, and research-supporting roles, who made this retreat such a success!

Congratulations, Ahmed! πͺ
Finally my paper with Lisa Blum Moyse on how social hierarchy shapes foraging strategies is out in Physics Review Research. We develop an analytical model of how leader - follower dynamics and spread of misinformation shape patch foraging. Check the paper here: journals.aps.org/prresearch/a...
Neuroscientists , you do not want to miss this workshop . It is an amazing and intellectually stimulating experience .
We are hiring at Ecodylic Science project hosted by @mpi-animalbehav.bsky.social funded by @maximize-incubator.bsky.social, check out this opportunity to be part of our team as a Business coordinator. Deadline: February 28th and details here: www.ab.mpg.de/805517/job_f...
