BAD DOG!
BAD DOG!
Louise in a rare clip from the lost film Just Another Blonde (1926). A new to me find thatβs included in the recently released Focus on Louise Brooks (1925-1927) Blu-ray from Flicker Alley.
It's often still above $5 in Los Angeles!
The wonderful @pauljoyce07.bsky.social with a story about falling in love with Louise Brooks and silent film and a fabulous review of the new disc from @flicker-alley.bsky.social ithankyouarthur.blogspot.com/2026/03/frie...
Now that's a companion!
Willie Nelson's ACROSS THE BORDERLINE is one of my favorite albums, but I only just discovered the official video for "Still is Still Moving to Me", which reveals the song's secret theme. You could not possibly make a guess at it that's wilder than the actual answer.

Have fun! It's a magical place.
Very excited to experience my first Benshi performance tonight!
That guy sounds unpleasant.
New Melies just dropped!
I really liked this week's #StarfleetAcademy, but I'm slightly disappointed that Tilly's drama class seemed rooted in analysis rather than performance. Starfleet officers need to pretend to be aliens and bluff their way though all sorts of cosmic scenarios. Acting is a necessary skillset!
#SCREAM7 is pretty bad, which I honestly wouldn't even mind all much if it still felt fun. Unfortunately, Spyglass Entertainment torpedoed any chance of that years ago and we're left with a movie that feels like it was half erased and then badly patched with mismatched scenes.
I forgot that Quark's initial plan to deal with the labor strike in THE BAR ASSOCIATION was to try and use A.I. instead. Believe it or not, it doesn't work very well!

Masterful Troll, TCM.
They were whispering secrets.
George McFly, happy as he ever gets, ready to wield the lash himself for once.
nearly all of post-WW2 american history can be explained by the split-second in Back to the Future when the bullying shifts from George McFly to Marty McFly, and George all but explodes in happiness at the idea of getting in on the torture on his own son, the new guy in town who sucks
While I appreciate it not being A.I., the fact that it looks so bad is still an issue. It's awkward to have the narrative lean into the power of sequential art, but also have the medium represented by something that looks like it was published as a Sketchers promo.
No, I'm fond of my self respect.
Looks pretty crime ridden to me.
Oddly, Cadets loving comic books was also a plot point in the Marvel SFA title.
This is super disappointing for a show Iβve loved to this point. The crumminess of AI art aside, this should have been a slam dunk way to celebrate Star Trekβs long, wonderful history of tie-in comics. Instead our grandkids have one more thing to rework in the remastered version come 2066.
How is that not what the TPM teasers were, though?
Sheβs hereβand sheβs luminous. β¨
Our copy of FOCUS ON LOUISE BROOKS has arrived from Flicker Alley and this deluxe Blu-ray is a knockout. π flickeralley.com/pro...

They just mean that they're like those old Phantom Menace monologue teasers, assembled for their own sake rather than pulled together from clips.
It's an honor to have been quoted in Radiance Film's new zine and especially thrilling to see it in such good company.
@eeisenberg.bsky.social pointed out how damning it is that AutoCorrect is still infamously terrible two decades on.
Can you show me a single *anything* created by A.I. that you feel has genuine value?
You have already won me over with a SLIDERS pun.
Plus, no one wants to tell a theater full of Gremlins that we're skipping SNOW WHITE.
This week's STARFLEET ACADEMY was not just a lot of fun. It was smart, respectable, surprising, tragic, and funny. What's more, it perfectly balanced fan service with an excellent close up on one of the new characters.
