Sean before his vote to end the war in Iran.
Dedicated to fighting the climate crisis, Sean Casten has introduced dozens of bills related to climate change and US energy policy. It's no surprise that he has earned endorsements from these environmental organizations.
February was another productive month, from bill introductions to district programming, and I am proud of what was accomplished for the people of Illinois’ 6th District in such a short month. I look forward to continuing this work in the months ahead.

Iran's regime is repressive and destabilizing. But that does not justify unilateral war.

The Trump Administration's mixed messaging on its strikes against Iran makes clear that there is no legal justification for its actions.
I will vote for a War Powers Resolution this week to stop the Trump Administration's illegal war.

Sean is a cosponsor of articles of impeachment against Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, who has overseen the baseless murder of Americans. He voted against funding for DHS and is now working to ensure the Senate shuts down any additional money to Trump’s ICE amid their lawlessness.

Donald Trump doesn’t hate clean energy; he hates energy you can actually afford. Clean energy is affordable energy. The president wants you to pay more while fossil fuels destroy your health and our planet.

This bill passed unanimously in the House prior to Trump's veto. Today, 24 members of the House GOP voted for the thing they'd already voted for. The rest decided instead do as Daddy told them. That's 188 cowards
Today, the House will vote on an extension of ACA tax credits that have saved families thousands of dollars.
Speaker Johnson did everything in his power to prevent this vote, but we've beaten him.
This is an important win, but our work doesn't stop until it is law.
