Pretty good game with some very deep direction issues

Strucural problem that really hurts my enjoyment of it a lot.
I generally like it but also it frustrates me because all of these pacing and strucure issues make it feels like the "potential man" of games.

I really hope Van side picks up for the finale or i'm gonna be pissed

Closure game made to wrap up loose ties, where it would make sense if the arc protagonist wasn't the main focus, but this is not that.

I also just personally dislike the concept of number one person so my personal view on it could be a huge influence on why i see it as negative

Because at that point in the story they're both dating other people and she doesn't know Fuyuki's relationship isn't real, so trying to nudge someone who already has a partner into seeing you as their number one is not really ok

She doesn't say it directly for the first half of the manga, but just nudges her going around the topic, She gets direct on it later one which is when it stops being an issue

And as i mentioned before, she's not even conscious of it during most of the story and does it because she's unable to understand herself and elaborate her selfishness in an healthy way (something she later learns to do) but even if it's not conscious it's still bad

Narrative level, it just didn't make me feel sympathy for the character, at least not until they have the heart to heart conversation where Eri recognizes why her behavior was bad

The language she uses when talking about Fuyuki is often indirecting controlling and aimed in making her see her as her priority which is just very manipulative behavior.
