Falls Awareness Week focuses on preventing deconditioning and falls with #EDDM
Delivered a great seated upper limb circuit class today with our #EDDM patients! 1) Cornhole 2) UL pedal exerciser 3) Dumbbell/Resistance band exercise and 4) Throw & Catch stations with time for patients to stand and transfer between stations to get that mobility practice in!💪🏼
The #EDDM Programme aims to empower people to remain as active & independent as possible in eating, drinking, self-care and mobility/exercise activities .. especially older adults! 💪🏼 Really pleased to see this year’s #WorldPTday theme focusing on how to live well for longer!
Julie embraces every challenge I throw at her! She has a unique way of being able to engage patients and staff, educating on the importance of empowering patients to consider what they CAN still do for themselves, even in hospital! She’s a real shining star 🌟 We are very lucky!
