Maybe the conspiracy theorists are right, and the Ravens are doing something shady. I’d have a hard time believing too much in that theory until Crosby is on the field wrecking people.

It certainly seems just as plausible that a hurt player coming off surgery is indeed more hurt than expected.

*whispers*

I’d rather have a healthy Maxx Crosby and have lost two picks than an older Trey Hendrickson on a four-year, $112 million deal.

I think the Ravens agree because they sent the trade offer before waiting out the Hendrickson market.

To me, this move seems more like a desperate pivot.

Being a Ravens fan is never just normal.

Imagine being the sports fan who roots for Arsenal and the Ravens, growing used to the art of being a perennial choker.

It me. I am that sports fan.

PECOTA 2026: Why PECOTA Hates Your Favorite Team, 2026 Edition | Baseball Prospectus It’s nothing personal. Well, actually, it is. But let’s say it’s not.

PECOTA has been most wrong about the White Sox than any other team since 2015. But the system has had too much faith in the White Sox, who finished with 68 fewer wins than projected over the past 10 years.

My favorite thing about PECOTA projections is that every fan base is convinced the system hates their team.

Happy PECOTA day!

Looks like the Royals are projected to win the AL Central with 84.4 wins. Tigers come in second with 83.9 wins.

Remember who the real enemy is.

Go Seahawks.

The tanking will be so bad this year and then likely won’t be much of an issue next year. I agree, there are probably more important things to worry about. But man, it won’t feel like it this spring.

Last night: Lauri Markkanen played 23 minutes on a night where the Jazz had 8 players. He didn’t play at all in the fourth quarter.

The Jazz lost by 2.

This is about to be an all-time draft lottery. But woof, the basketball this spring will be rough to watch during the tank off

The Royals moved in the fences. How many more homers are coming? Last month, the Royals announced a most unexpected change for the 2026 season: After years of having the second-most spacious park in the Majors – and first among those that aren’t located a mile high...

The Royals are pulling in the fences. What impact is that going to have? Let's dig into the Statcast data to find out.

It's a little different than in past ballpark changes..

Maybe that’s where the Royals end up in the end, settling on Cags not being ready or Collins being better suited for a 4th OF role. But I can’t fault them for being content with starting them in the corners.

I certainly don’t feel like they are missing out by not signing every Bader-level FA.

Great post. I’ve been working through similar thoughts the last few days amid all the fake outrage over not signing Bader.

The Royals feel one bat away from being central favorites, but the only obvious place to put that bat is in CF without moving Collins to a 4th OF role or Cags to the minors.

Stars can definitely push their way onto a team, especially in Giannis’ case when the team trading for him is only guaranteed 1.5-2.5 years.

But I agree. It feels like the Warriors’ picks package is inferior in any sweepstakes, especially when half the picks are coming in the next three years.

Can you imagine the Warriors are like, β€œYeah, Milwaukee we will hear you out. What of our lackluster assets do you want for Giannis and we will think it over. Thank you for thinking of us.”

Pretty sure this notification should read β€œMilwaukee is listening to trade offers” and not Golden State lol

Rooting so hard for the Broncos and Seahawks today.

We all need a nice reminder that football is more than just the quarterback.

Starting to think people spent too much energy complaining about the Mets’ offseason in December.

Have the Los Angeles Dodgers ruined baseball? Kyle Tucker, the best player in this year’s MLB free agent class, is joining the back-to-back World Series champion Los Angeles Dodgers.

Worked through my thoughts about Kyle Tucker to the Dodgers.

In a world where it seems like you have to pick a side for everything, I try to explain why I find this annoying without believing baseball is broken or that 29 other teams could do this.

I’m also annoyed that the Dodgers keep signing everyone. But I do find the outrage tonight somewhat amusing.

If Tucker doesn’t sign with LA, he joins one of two teams:

- Blue Jays, who have spent $337 million this free agency
- Mets, who gave out the largest contract in pro sports just last year

Home runs are so back in Kansas City The Kansas City Royals have decided to adjust their ballpark dimensions, moving the outfield fence in for the first time in over two decades.

Wrote about the Royals moving the fences in at Kauffman Stadium for the first time in more than two decades:

Still putting together my thoughts about the Kauffman fences coming in, but worth noting the impact on lefty power hitters. The K had the lowest HR park factor for LHH in majors last year.

Considering KC’s swing players (Cags, Jensen, Vinnie) in 2026 are all left-handed, that seems notable to me.

The Ravens didn’t let Derrick Henry touch the field after his TD run to put them up 11 with 12:50 left in the game.

Truly inept coaching.
