A purple crocus with all 6 petals extended in bloom. The yellow center displays the pistil and stamen. Is it saffron? I don't know. The thin green leaves have a skinny white stripe in the center and it's rising from brown leaf litter.

A simple lumpy sandcastle encircled with clam shells and decorated with drift wood. The sea is rough and it's very foggy but following straight up from the driftwood spire you can spy a single surfers silhouette against the breaker.
This fog smells so salty good but it makes the surfers hard to see.

Bursting triumphant from oak leaf litter come the crocus! Delicate majesty, strength and resilience, hope in green and purple. Dew drops glistening even with the cloudy sky.

Stark white branches wiggle and zig across a clear bright blue sky. A very large and very old sycamore tree on a crisp winter day.

A chunky tree branch on top of snow. Moss and lichen sit at opposite sides of the stick.
Very long pointy icicles hanging on a gutter in a straight line. The night sky is dark blue and my red porch light illuminates a tree behind the icicles.
So cute! 🥰 I was baking all day because the snow kept falling.
Sourdough buns that were supposed to look like bunny lumps but look just a bit more like demon lumps because the ears turned into horns.

A small stump sliced close to the ground is surrounded by moss. The tree rings are visible. A pine needle lays across the stump and the stump is peppered with cute little spiderlings that you need to zoom in to see.

Very nice clear herring gull prints in sand. Pale pebbles are visible mixed in the wet dark sand. The prints are chaotic and look a bit like old timey dancing instructions but for seagulls.

The evening sky in winter. The sky is purple tinged and the constellation Orion is in view. Snow covered trees rim the scene and in between a V of trees, bare Oak and evergreen pitch pine is Sirius the dog star. Woof.
