Some big hitters also have a year left on there deals so have leverage. If I’m Stones, why would I move for less money this summer when I could run my deal and maximise my earnings on a free at my next club? Same goes for all the high earners we might want to shift with deals expiring 2026.

Adam Wharton and Carlos Baleba are two players I’ll be keeping a close eye on in the summer.

Going to be interesting to see what clubs will potentially move for them, or if they both stay put for another season.
