We're in the final stretch now - one week to go and it just feels like everything is hanging by a thread. Help us get Cat (and the cats) out of Trump's America and back to safety and healthcare here in the UK x

People in the comments were on his side too, seeing it as greedy behaviour from the publisher and an abuse of copyright law as they saw the review as transformative. Makes me wonder if this has been normal practices before they tried it with a bigger release. Absolutely mental.
Watched a video from a man who reviewed a book of poetry but had the video taken down from the publisher. It was a big publisher and the poet was famous for other stuff so I was prepared to sympathise with a reviewer. Turned out that he shared over a third of the book as screen shots in the video.
There needs to be some kind if Cilla archive initiative, made up of all the half-taped over final sections of Blind Date and Surprise Surprise on boxed up VHS tapes in attics about the country.
I recently found out that one of my students spoke to someone during induction week (I don't know if they were staff or a student rep) about wanting to become an editor and they were told that was a bad idea because it will all be done by AI. I really want to find this person now.
"We decided to investigate how these neurotypical, cis-het, middle-class white kids from a semi-rural area with lots of opportunities to connect with nature were coping with the social media ban. The results might surprise you..."
Helped my eldest with their RE homework about the eucharist, went back to the living room feeling like a good Dad before running back to say, "But don't call them 'the prods' when you write it down."
You've got to feel sorry for conspiracy theorist these days, what with the leader of the western world murdering hundreds in a day, including a head of state, while covering up his role in a sex trafficking scandal.
Anyway, they've apparently swapped Jim Carey with a fake one.
I'm not sure I agree with it now, but when John Stammers once told me that, "Style is everything", I really needed to hear it at the time.
I'm just cutting to the chase and calling him Shitloss from now on.
I really don’t believe ideas about politics fragmenting. There has always been a diversity of approaches that has been distorted into a red/blue binary by an unrepresentative FPTP electoral system. PR would better reflect this diversity and force more cross-party cooperation in government.
If I was a pettier man I could real out about fifty names in response to this before I've taken my next breath.
I'm not generally a fan of gaming/pick up artist schtick but have to salute the young man who struck up a good natured chat with a young woman at the Brixton Marks & Sparks checkouts with the opening gambit of, "You've got the wrong cookies."
haha, I just wish I had the old Clubs to offer when the time comes.
New design for club bars, brown and green packaging
Don Corleone from The Godfather looking grief stricken, saying "Look at how they massacred my boy"
You can tell I quickly typed this out on my phone, sheesh!
The thing I about curling is that the initial push off looks so cool, just gliding across the ise on one knee, but it's immediately followed by the silly broomstick stuff. I love it.
....and they got him.
HAPPY FUCKING PANCAKE DAY!!!
For some reason I thought I was sharing the link, here it is youtu.be/RF8zwgqWPKU?...
This is excellent. It's pretty much FD's magnum opus that has also been his albatross for the past few years. It's four hours long and will almost certainly get taken down and edited a number of times so treat it like a Netflix series you just found out about and is leaving in a few days.
It’s 4 hours long you glorious nutcase! That’s my evening sorted then.
So, we need to film a video for our great new song, Dancing in the Street.
How about we film ourselves dancing in ... an abandoned factory in the middle of the night?
A rabbit in overalls and a goat in pants are sitting on the ground drawing pictures. The rabbit is saying “ART POSES A THREAT TO CORPORATOLRATIC SYSTEMS BECAUSE A PURPOSE OF ART IS TO REMIND THE INDIVIDUAL OF THEIR INHERENT AUTONOMY.”, the goat adds “THEIR HUMANITY.”
Make Art (1/4)
Plus the added element of having look through the bottom of your varifocals while doing it.
Also…
See? This is why combat sports are great.
The problem with procutivity systems:
*Present me* comes up with a goal and assigns it to *future me*;
Cometh the hour, *future me* becomes *present me* and the goal-setting *present me* becomes *past me*;
*Present me* tells *past me* to feck off and comes up with his own goals;
Repeat.
Buttondown too!
