Nothing wrong with being 'weird'. I'm proud to own the resemblance.
They probably are. Can't even remember the last time I hit Nelson or Wellington to find out. Nor do I stumble across their listings on TradeMe all that often. Besides, it's more fun to see what follows me home when I go somewhere like Camera Club or Lions.
The nearest we have like that is Cash Converters for physical stores, and that's mainly in the bigger centres like Wellington or Nelson. It does everything. Otherwise I have to go online with trademe or eBay. I *have* seen Cash Converters on trademe though
Never even heard of it. Might be a EU thing. Have access to trademe (which covers NZ) and eBay. They're about it.
6,50β¬ all up sounds like an absolute steal. Don't think I could get anything for the $(NZ) equivalent *anywhere*.
I was looking at those on fleabay. Mainly for parts...
That magnet hack sounds interesting...
Runs fine, once I get it going though. FD83 has the same power button as the FD91, but only FD83 has trouble turning on. π€¬
FD91, FD83 (cranky starter), FD7. And a Cybershot DSC-P72. I've only had success with the Mavica FD7 and the Cybershot; none with the Mavica FD91, and given the dodgy power button on the Mavica FD83, I'm not particularly game to try that one out!
Might have to disagree with that. Haven't yet had any luck with the FD91. Tried it twice (2 different modes) and nothing but digital static.
Infrared shot of the rose bush out at the front gate. The foliage is grey-white, and the two roses in the shot are white with a tinge of pink. There is a splash of red in the top left corner. Minimal editing was done in post.
You know you're probably onto a #ShittyCameraChallenge winner, when this is essentially what you get straight out of a Sony Mavica (MVC-FD7) and the IR filter set to ~750NM. BTW, the FD7 was set to 'colour' for this shot...
Same here. And add recycling dud analogue prints into the birthday cards I make is a bonus. Heck, even the decent ones go on...
Yeah, 44β¬ doesn't sound cheap... but then, like the $(US), it's roughly 2x the $(NZ) and I'd have to pay freight on top of that. I've also heard things aren't exactly cheap in Finland... Correct me if I'm wrong, someone...
Pure γγγγindeed. Makes the Chuzhao and Kodak Charmera look good. Only installed FOUR AA batteries yesterday, and the sods seem to be dead already (and we're talking Eveready GOLD batteries). Hekkin' Pentax DSLR doesn't drain those batteries that quick.
Buy it! (BTW, how much?)
Beyond #ShittyCameraChallenge This followed me home from Trefoil Guild (think NZ Girl Guides/USA Girl Scouts) www.ebay.com/itm/19701596... www.dansdata.com/dsc2100.htm
Shittiest camera I've EVER come across. Thanks, buddy!
I'm quite pleased with it too. Monkey (Nikon D300) and Chuckles (Helios 81H) are next... I have hope, after the Cybershot's success.
Watch this space...
Infrared shot at front gate. Roses growing in front of the fence and behind show bleached-looking foliage. Almost reminiscent of an old-timey negative, except for the yellow date imprint in the bottom right corner.
Infrared shot of foliage against the corrugated iron back fence. Handle of a movable (rotating) compost bin in the bottom left corner. The normally oxidised-blue painted fence is 2 shades of dark(ish - particularly in the centre), and the foliage of the plants is bleached. Almost reminiscent of an old-timey negative, except for the yellow date imprint in the bottom right corner.
Infrared shot of the path between the garage and the sliding door into the conservatory. The photo shows a circular patch of blue discolouration in the centre, but the garage (and spouting drainpipe) can still be clearly seen. Around the outside, the foliage from the lavender (left) and flower bushes (mix of fuchsias and roses, right) are bleached, whilst the garage, house and sky look relatively normal in black and white. There is a yellow date imprint in the bottom right corner.
Not such a successful infrared shot done with the sepia filter. After using "auto-enhance" on the photo, which turned it into a straight B&W shot, I had to reapply the sepia filter, which affected the date stamp. This photo is of the front (cinderblock) fence and foliage from the front yard and street frontage. Some of the foliage looks a little bleached, while some of it does not.
Beyond #ShittyCameraChallenge, still goofing around with IR. Slapped the filter on the Minidigibladski to see how it fit. Inside edge of filter slots straight over outside edge of lens. Duct-tape holds the filter in place and voila...
Red and black (lens) Hasselblad-style camera with gold accents. A miniature digital camera in the same vein as the Chuzhao digitlr. About an inch (2.5cm) shorter than the Chuzhao and 2.5" (8cm) longer than the Chuzhao.
The 4K retro "digibladski" (in red on left) next to the Chuzhao (black digitlr on right) front-on comparison. Their viewfinder hoods are both in the "up" position.
Side-on comparison of the "digibladski" (front) and the digitlr. Their viewfinder hoods are both in the "up" position.
#ShittyCameraChallenge The latest member to join the Craptastic Minidigicam Team... Minidigibladski!
It is the way, Djin Darin
The tree shot in Negative Art mode with the IR filter. The sky is now dusky blue, and the foliage is now brown. The tree trunk still looks bleached.
The colour of the sky is now a chocolate hue, whilst the foliage is now sky blue. The tree trunk has now turned dark, and the roof of the secondhand store (where I got the Kiev 19 in a banana box with others) is now bleached looking.
Tree trunk still dark, but foliage is now PINK. And the sky is almost tomato-red. For the sci-fi fans, it almost resembles a scene from Mars.
More post #ShittyCameraChallenge shenanigans. I took the photo of the tree treated with the IR-negart filters and played around in post. It's nuts how different they all came out, and I didn't even do much to them (though I now no longer remember what I did).
Black-and-white infrared image of the tree and its foliage. The foliage is white, and the sky behind is dark. The tree looks almost double-exposed, and there are spherical effects in the sky, which possibly have something to do with hand holding the camera and the filter in front of the lens.
Sepia infrared image of the tree and its foliage. The foliage is white, and the sky behind is darkish beyond the effects. The tree looks almost double-exposed, and there are spherical effects in the sky, which possibly have something to do with hand holding the camera and the filter in front of the lens.
In-camera negative art filter and IR filter handheld in front of the lens. Foliage is green, sky is greenish-blue, tree trunks/branches and building walls take on a greenish-white appearance. The photo has taken on an eerie "glow".
Some Post-#ShittyCameraChallenge shenanigans with the Sony Cybershot, IR filter (720nm?), and a tree in my GP's Surgery carpark (from across the road, where Zuki was actually parked!). In-camera B&W, Sepia, and Negative Art filters are used while holding the IR filter in front of the lens.
Absolutely! When cameras decide to follow me home to join the "gang" of wayward cameras, I don't complain about the noise that opportunity is making whilst knocking on the door :)
I know, right? I have another one somewhere, but butterfingers fluffed it up! Its case was more beige-brown. This one came with THREE (1 exposed, 2 sealed) films! Will see how I go with getting the exposed one developed, might shoot one of the others. The third one's STAYING sealed - it's "gold".
Hit sub-miniature camera in black (leatherette) and silver (metal) in front of its box (yellow and red). The camera's case (yellow leather) is sitting on top of the box. Two unused films are inside the box.
#ShittyCameraChallenge The original #Charmera, the Tougodo Hit (www.ephotozine.com/article/coll..., mitxela.com/projects/dig...). No idea of the state of all the films (1 was still in the camera), but only arrived yesterday. Too late for the challenge.
I bet! Would love to see how this one goes.
Innit just? Committee has set subjects sorted for the next few months, so the #ShittyCameraChallenge won't be in the lineup for a while. But my phone probably oversold them! Still interested in how the others run with it...
