@adamsilverhq.bsky.social 👋
Thank you! I swear I’ve seen a great solve for this in the past but my searches have come up empty
Forms UX practitioners: what is an optimal pattern for asking for an email address or mobile number, where the user must enter a response to one but it doesn't matter which one? cc @cjforms.bsky.social @adamsilverhq.bsky.social
More damning that threatening, AI is cringe.
To my students at least.
For the last 2+ years I've been teaching a course built around conversations about AI and its implications, and each term I've been surprised at the shift in student attitudes.
Hey Greg, I really enjoyed your talk today and look forward to reading your book. In case you missed it, this post by the UK GDS is relevant to this topic: insidegovuk.blog.gov.uk/2025/02/25/c...
Since leaving The Australian Peter and Gideon Haigh run a substack and podcast : "Cricket et al" where you can support their excellent (independent!) writing and chatter.

@henrywagons.bsky.social what’s theme tonight, Hank?
Melbournians, it’s 37C today - some of you are taking the piss by wearing a puffer jacket 🥵
And his turnout would’ve again been less than Obama’s.
Anything to deny the cause and impact of climate change.
Same thing happened during the 2019-20 Australian fires. Murdoch press and trolls perpetuated the falsehood that the fires were all started by arsonists (in fact, most were started by lightning). Regardless, the fires’ severity was largely the result of extreme drought and weather conditions.
It always amazes me just how much money people are prepared to spend to avoid doing the right thing.
On his birthday!
Looks like AI created that photo - they all look like same!
@henrywagons.bsky.social good to see you over here! What’s tonight’s theme?
I switched for this reason, and received superior UX to boot!
Raise concerns about Palantir's NHS lock-in and you'll be righteously branded as a privacy freak. Note the dangers of neglecting core capabilities for unproven AI being oversold by Microsoft and others and you're a Luddite or a digital NIMBY.
Thank you!
BTW, no Moby Grape? Tsk, tsk...
The perfect Saturday night/Sunday morning record.
I had 'Today' in my head the whole time I was in SF when I visited last year. A total trip.
PS. loving this list! Reminds me of this www.robertchristgau.com/xg/rs/albums...
Replace "watch" with "buy" and you have the same enshittification strategy as Amazon.
Advice for all younger UXers: good design training and books are essential for underpinning your skills and knowledge. But you’ll rarely find a workplace or client that will let you apply them the way they tell you, the way they should be. Make peace with this and make progress.
Not only do I consider this book to be a high watermark in cricket writing, it inspired me to a High Distinction in my first year at university, at a time I was deeply homesick and about to quit. www.harpercollins.com.au/978073332003...

Is the battle against FAQs and ‘click here’ links lost? Or just endless? 😥
