Ooh, what was the party makeup? Were they close friends? Had they played TTRPGs together before? I love hearing about how young people are playing!

This is delightfully in character for Evil Hat.
Haven't we learned from Captain America: The Winter Soldier that putting Nazis in charge of Shield doesn't turn out well?
My interview with @wranglerofchaos.bsky.social of #YoungDragonslayers is up!
We cover all aspects of the design of Little but Fierce, including simplifying rules, my approach to accessibility and representation and some general advice on running games for kids.

He's put all much thought into the design of the mechanics, the inclusion of the world, and the accessibility of the presentation. This was an easy choice to back!
(We got to chat about the game - interview in replies)
Please take a moment to check out this and the rest of Drintera. I cannot overstate my respect for those project, its leadership, and the work of its incredible team. I was a writer on it before Tiny Dragon was born and got to see from the inside the sheer talent, care, and creativity involved.
Itβs easy to think writing is mainly the transcription of ideas you already haveβthat is, until you try to write something worthwhile, and you find what you thought were saying transform into something far more interesting in the process. This skips that last step, and that is *not* an improvement.
Thanks for putting this out there! Is there an approximate/recommended deadline to fill this out, or is it more of a rolling-application situation?
Woo-hoo! My partner and I are planning our first proper vacation this year, and we decided to make a gaming pilgrimage to Wisconsin, so we'll get to check it out in person π

Last year's Zine Month, I started working on Imagine Queer Worlds. This radical worldbuilding game takes creators on a journey to imagine how the fictional societies, cultures, and environments they craft engage with the personal questions of sex, gender, attraction, and more β and it's finally out!

THANK YOU
The folks who were coerced and harassed are, and should be, the focus here. But for those who haven't heard, are unsure what to think, or considered my DayLITE work an endorsement, I wanted to spread the word (and share that I've experienced the poor management - and a touch of RP ick - firsthand).
Without naming your job, tell me something you say over and over again at work.
"It's so-and-so's turn right now."
"Technically, that's not in the rules, but we can make it happen."
"You do WHAT?!?"
A smiling portrait of Nex Benedict appears over a faded purple background. White and yellow text reads, βRemembering Nex Benedict.β The HRC logo appears.
Nex Benedict should still be here with us today.
Nex was a 16-year-old non-binary high school student who loved nature and enjoyed drawing, reading, and playing Minecraft.
Trans and non-binary youth deserve to be safe in school, just like every other child in America.
Woo-hoo! Keep the support for this awesome project coming!
YEAH!! πππ
This is a nifty project of bite-sized mysteries perfect for GMs to either sprinkle into their existing all-ages campaigns or run as a one-shot. (Also if we meet the next stretch goal, I get to write one!!)
Just started doing new data analysis and I know I keep saying this, but: I really, really don't think people appreciate how much this moral panic was a deliberate and extremely expensive invention.
Really looking forward to hearing Yeet's insights here
Ngl, I did forget I was tagged in this and was so engrossed with Heather's thoughts that I got jumpscared by my own book π
Very much worth a watch!
Activism step 1: Identify local groups already working on the issue you want to work on.
Activism step 2: Join those groups and get involved. There may be a vetting process and it may take time, for everyoneβs safety. Just be patient and build relationships. Thatβs the work.
Send me a DM! Would love to feature you on the Young Dragonslayers blog (www.youngdragonslayers.com/d-and-d-vide...)
