Oregon’s sea level forecasts more accurate than many around the globe, scientist says The Cascade Subduction Zone affects where the ocean meets the land, and that land is rising in some parts of the Oregon Coast.

A recent study in the scientific journal Nature says many forecasters underestimate how much sea level will rise due to climate change in the future.

But predictions for the Oregon Coast are more accurate than in other areas, according to a researcher in the state.
