i wish i could talk openly about any of my trauma without feeling the intense embarrassment/shame that comes with it. it's easier to keep up the hyper-independence & the toxic positivity.

my life is better. i'm loved, in a very safe home. but i didn't make it through without severe consequences.

when my dad died, that's when it started. i haven't met anyone who has been abused by one of their brothers. to have one brother protect you from the other. my sister, estranged from us & happy for it. my oldest brother was my savior but he died in an accident & that was that.

none of this matters, but i have no one to tell, so i'll just speak it anyway. i am tired of being afraid of pity.
