I grew up pre-potter, there are so many brilliant books out there (even with brooms & british accents) & countless others since. It's so lazy to fall back on a singular series of mid books & keep handing them to the next generations because they were well marketed decades ago.
Heck even The Worst Witch series is right there. Us pre-potter kids did just fine on those before graduating to Pratchett.
100% this. We can give our kids great books, better written book, even better British books with brooms.

But they just said no. They said it's our choice if we want to wear masks. They've not risk assessed at all. It's horribly exclusionary but then, I've never found the home ed community very welcoming to CV. Near me they're a lot more anti vaxx than anything else.
I actually said "I'd love to see the use of respirators being promoted for events like this, in the same way you've asked everyone to bring hand sanitiser " I think that makes them look weirder than me. Imagine thinking hand sanitiser is going to do anything at all 🤦♀️😆
There's a long list of rules for this rally, including everyone bringing & using hand sanitiser. But when I asked them to promote the use of respirators I was shut down and told that was a me problem. 2/3
