Finally fell asleep, only to wake up from a nightmare.

I would like to take some personal time off work, but my dumb assistant is “overwhelmed” with the bare minimum she does for me.

And yes, she is aware of what has been going on for me.

The shitty assistant had the gall to tell me today that she is behind and overwhelmed and wants to put off ALL the work she does for me for the next several weeks.

She who took Friday and Monday off for vacation.

She. Is. Overwhelmed.

I lost my fucking dad on Friday.

I cannot believe her.

I truly fear how many companies also take advantage of this. Prices raise, the companies realize people will pay it, even if the actual costs go down, those rates and costs stay artificially high.

Covid showed that and this administration is feeding that system too.

Both! Ocean freight was awful for a bit, combined with fighting for cargo space on the ships that were moving.

Truck freight has definitely stayed higher than I think seems reasonable, especially small shipments like UPS or Fedex.

But this will surely raise the rates again :(

I was very thankful for the care and help hospice gave my dad and our family, but damn, it sucks needing them.

Idk if it's the retrograde, war, regime, prices, isolation, lack of healthcare access, or what but this year has 2020 vibes so far. Many people are in crisis. Many are overwhelmed, depressed, alone, and cutting even more out of their lives.
