I read that appealing has slim to no chance of getting the original channel back so I will make a new one, at some point, in the near future.
Thank you to all the people who joined it over the years shared it with other channels/communities, reacted and comment on my posts there.
If I make it private I have to send invite links to each person who wants to join it severely limiting who will be able to see my posts.
I don't know what I'll do just yet. Still processing what happened plus the DST change has left me drained for the day.
I don't know whether I should make it public or invite only. A tone of people found my channel exclusively through Telegram when someone forwards my artwork to other groups.
