AWWWWWW how adorable!!

For your art, your characters’ expressions are simplistic, but super expressive. Also they feel so full of life! Even if you draw them hanging out or standing, they never feel stiff or lifeless.

A slab of stone engraved with an almond-shaped eye—Agartha’s symbol—sat atop a dais. Figures were building a structure around it, similar in style to the very temple Ingrid and Hapi stood in. Further out, others could be seen planting sprouts. The beginnings of a forest. Maybe it was a commemoration. Knowing what she did, Ingrid was more inclined to believe it was a warning. Whatever had happened here—whatever Sothis had done to end the war—was clearly important enough that the Keepers had to ensure this piece of their history was preserved in this room, and an entire cult formed around it. Could it really be as simple as passing on the story of the Agarthans’ so-called defeat? Or had they known, as Hapi speculated, that their victory wasn’t absolute? She’d come here in search of answers—but so far, all Ingrid had found was more questions. “Curious about what’s further in?” Hapi asked. Her eyes flicked towards the archway, catching a glimpse of the next chamber. Ingrid peered back over her shoulder, contemplating the risk. “How long is Constance going to spend translating those inscriptions?” Hapi snorted. “Coco could read smudged writing on a dirty cave wall for hours if she thought it had a sliver of a chance at being important. Which is to say your guess is as good as mine.” A smile stretched across her face. “B is around. He’ll keep an eye on her.”

I read Jurassic Park and East of Eden on a long flight once. Jurassic Park was hard to put down, and East of Eden is like 600 pages, so it kept me occupied for most of the trip.
