Yes, but Artist != GameDev
All game devs are artists, but not all artists are game devs
My Ex? Deus. Sigh, everything reminds me of her
Applies to being a game dev as well
A black & white image of Adolph Hitler and Benito Mussolini doing the Nazi salute on a balcony, after singing the Pact of Steel on 22 May 1938. Elon Musk is photoshopped next to them with his arm raised at a Nazi salute, taken from his 2025 Trump inauguration speech.
If he walks like a Nazi, talks like a Nazi, acts like a Nazi and heils like a Nazi, odds are that he's a Nazi.
Iโm primarily looking for remote/hybrid positions. Iโm available for on-site work in Oulu, but relocation within Finland can be negotiated.
If you wish to know more about me, or receive my CV / portfolio, feel free to contact me here, or send me an email to:

In addition to hands-on game development talents, I have a good understanding of game marketing research (target audience analysis, budgeting, estimated projected revenue, creating pitch decks, etc.), as well as dealing with both publishers and clients.
As a personal area of interest, Iโve researched game stories and narratives for over a decade โ specializing in what makes them different from other storytelling mediums and how can game stories be told better.
I have vast experience in almost all fields of narrative and game design, and I believe to be a valuable asset to any game team I work with.
Iโve been in the Games Industry since 2011. During this time, I have worked on award winning games in my own studio (Afterlife Entertainment), taught game design and -production in Kajaani University of Applied Sciences and worked as a narrative designer at Resistance Games (2019-2025).
My employment with Resistance Games has now been officially terminated, due to bankruptcy.
Iโm actively looking for a new position as a narrative designer, game designer or writer. Preferably senior or lead positions, but I'm not picky.

Am I going to be escorted to the office with a hood over my head, and interviewed by someone trough a double sided mirror, with a voice changer through the loudspeakers?
It's a job, not a SAW-movie. Spill the beans
I hate the headhunter DMs in LinkedIn. They're always like: "Want to work on a game with billions of downloads? Want to work for a company with full remote opportunities and competitive salary?"
Dude, you're trying to hire me, tell me what company and what game. Why the secrecy?
@jamescramer.bsky.social Would you mind adding me to the Finnish Game Industry starter pack?

There was an even smaller form called 'pittance', but it went obsolete over time, since it was only used to describe the occasional copper coin dropped by the tutorial rats in a cellar or LVL1 cave spiders.
It's can't have a plural form, because it's uncountable. However, it does have a worth, and that's where the comparisons kick in.
"Loot" has no plural, It's a comparative noun with 8 degrees of comparison.
Loot is the smallest, followed by Swag, Booty, Pillage, Plunder, Prize, Bounty and Treasure.
Fun fact: This is why Goblins are often described with a derogatory prefix "Loot"

I have recently been going through a lot of job applications for a writer position in the games industry, and I have thoughts about writing samples. I figured I'd put together a bunch of practical advice about how to handle them if you're applying for a job.
Here we go...
