It was in my opinion an egregious violation against them, and I am particularly disgusted that neither CM Kettle nor any other members of the committee stepped in and shut the presentation down. (9/10)

Speaking now in my personal capacity, I want to direct my comments to CM Kettle and the Public Safety committee. This morning, the County Prosecutor's Office delivered a presentation about sex trafficking in the City, which included graphic images of women, bloodied and brutalised... (7/10)
Beyond that, when you walk before whichever Creator God you believe in, and they ask you, did you love your neighbor as yourself, or did you stand idly by the blood of your neighbor? We urge you to act with the urgency this brutality demands. (6/10)
When the Seattleites of the future ask you what you did in the face of authoritarianism, what will you say? What did you do with your power? Were you on the right side of history? (5/10)
Both the Public Safety Committee and the Select Committee on Federal Administration should meet as soon as possible to address this and set out clear, concrete next steps. (4/10)
That includes supporting a general strike in solidarity with Minneapolis, shutting down ALPRs, speaking out unequivocably about these violations and using your power both at this dais and with intergovernmental partners to enact legislation that makes all of us safer. (3/10)

At full council, the first commenter denounced Councilmember Bob Kettle's decision to allow the prosecutor to display unredacted, identifiable photos of raped and brutalized women and graphically describe their abuse, listing objects men penetrated them with and using terms like "cum dumpster."
And when they're swept out of power I want to see Nuremberg-style trials against all. of. them.
DHS is now 0 for 2 in narrative spinning in Minneapolis. Leaders at every level need to do something substantive and systematic about this. ICE needs to get the hell out of Minneapolis and other cities and stop this disgustingly brazen fishing expedition for excuses to invoke the insurrection act.
