Christmas book post! Can’t wait to read HUMAN REMAINS by @jocallaghankat.bsky.social, loved the first two in this series.
It is time! Wrapping my presents in front of the fire and THIS, as I do every year.
I second this, being shortlisted in the Lucy Cavendish prize in 2016 was such a huge part of my journey to publication.

Having just bought a book for an Xmas present from a recommendation on here, what’s a good literary, natural world-type non-fic book that I can get for my dad? I’ve bought him the mushroom one by Merlin Sheldrake and Crow Country by Mark Cocker in the past.
Thank you! Had not heard of this and now bought it as a Christmas present. Makes me realise how useless the other place had become for these kinds of reccs.
Have been agonising about what to say in my first post (the pressure!) but what better way to dive in than sharing some book love? I love Nikki’s books and can’t wait to read this one - great for holidays but also for reading by the fire and dreaming of sunnier climes!
