Cis people need to pay attention to the way they communicate this. They freely admit that after all of their research, they came up with zero evidence that HRT was harmful.
Then they banned it anyway, claiming their inability to find a reason is a reason in of itself.
They never ask the question of the evidence of harms from withholding treatment. Despite the fact they found no evidence of harms from HRT. Wihtholding treatment from a population like this is not a neutral act, it is an intervention in and of itself. One that has no basis in medicine.
Medical transition for trans kids is now banned for new referrals on the NHS. Trans kids in the UK can still go private or DIY (for now).
This means the new clinics that replaced GIDS are close to useless at best, conversion therapy at worst. 1/5
They are harming an entire generation of trans youth with these policies. It takes a certain kind of wilful ignorance to ignore the vast number of studies world wide that demonstrate how access to these medications benefits trans youth.
It is intentional cruelty based on ignorance.
All of this. I wouldn't put my daughter within a million miles of the ghouls at the NHS under the current system. I have heard the kind of questions they ask trans youth from other parents. They seem designed to try "convince" trans youth that they don't know themselves. Its so harmful.

If the puberty blockers ban isn't about TRANSPHOBIA then why are they still prescribed to those who suffer from early puberty & certain cancers?
As the whole U.K. trial on puberty blockers is paused, it’s important to remember this is a culture war being pursued by those who claim to care about children & young people as they’re fine with kids who aren’t questioning their gender to get them. Solidarity with our trans community ✊🏻🏳️⚧️
Yeah important point here too that studies of children given puberty blockers for precocious puberty show no indication of increased trans youth or health problems.
In Northern Ireland, where the Equality Act does not apply, the DUP Education Minister has unilaterally banned trans kids in schoools and the UUP Health Minister has unilaterally stopped participation in the puberty blocker trials, both citing legal cases they can't be arsed waiting on.

Anti-trans campaigners will try to spin the High Court’s decision into an absolute victory.
But that’s far from the truth – the findings in this case will require the EHRC’s code of practice to be rewritten.

I am - and always will be - proud of my time as a Girlguiding ambassador. As a former Rainbow and Brownie myself, I know first hand what a difference these spaces make to girls. I've seen it in the faces of the young people I met on site visits - including trans girls, who were every bit as bright, joyful and deserving as any other child. Which is why the organisation's decision to exclude trans girls has devastated me. Some of those girls and their families have now found themselves caught in the crossfire of culture wars they never asked to be part of. I am truly heartbroken for the trans community who simply want to live their lives, be included, and have access to safe, supportive spaces. Trans girls experience the same threats as other women and girls - they are not a threat to us. They are our sisters. And so, with a very heavy heart, I will be stepping down as a Girlguiding ambassador with immediate effect. I stand with my trans sisters today and always. Ashley James, celebrity star of Good Morning has resigned from Girl Guides in response to their exclusion of trans girls.
It's not all money though is it?
Would they really be allowed to clog up the courts with this. Between time, admin, lengthy court processes, public sentiment, cis children being affected etc? I do wonder what the breaking point would be.
And as I said, cis complacency is the real problem here.
I also was looking into girl guides for my daughter.
As a girl who had already been forced out of school due to their toilet policies, I had hoped it would be a great way for her to meet other kids her age.
And now that option has been ripped away from us too.
This is not an abstract debate.
Still, if they ALL stood by their supposed principle and said no, how many court cases could sex matters et al really take on? How many closures before people start thinking hmm this isn't right? There is support on the ground for trans people, but cis people's complacency is the problem here.
I’m furious. Girlguiding yesterday. The Women’s Institute today. Organisations rushing to ban trans people before the government has even published its guidance.
