Congrats!
Typical elders, this is exactly like them for some reason
SiN is back and it looks EXACTLY how I remember it.
(SiN was surprisingly good, but I suspect it will be a difficult sell in 2026)

Just realised it's GDC and that's yet another time of the year where I can get my hopes up for an XCOM3 announcement.
Pretty confident this time. They missed the 10 year anniversary but the extra month in the oven will really show in the reveal trailer. Highly confident, this time.

What you're saying is milk doesn't have eggs in, but eggs do have milk in?
'Milk has eggs in it' latest update.
Wait, *does* milk have eggs in it?? Suddenly not so confident.
You think you've done a really good job bringing your kid up to be a sensible, well-rounded and worldly wise individual and then one Sunday morning they come out with "Wait, does milk not have eggs in it??" and you start to question every decision you've made
Favour to ask - if you played Into the Slimy Mines demo (you should, it's fun) can you leave a Steam review?
We could really do with a bunch of nice reviews to go with the other 12+ hour playtime thumb up, before the Tower Defence fest next week. Ta!

Unpopular opinion, but a lot of this "doing it right" mentality is how we wind up with games all feeling the exact same.
Difficulty spikes, weird controls, ropey onboarding all of it critical to prevent games feeling like they're ground down and pumped out safe mush.

I love the Games Industry but far too much of it is apparently run by very boring people.

Look at this game! The paper gets coloured in all pretty when you run around and it can catch fire!
Now THAT'S a GDC announcement www.youtube.com/watch?v=yM_3...

There are two types of announcement around GDC:
1. Look at this cool game we're making!!
2. ZynTek announces strategic partnership with Alphanatch to extend holistic data services beyond existing emerging markets and bring data-driven solutions for AAAA engine and resource IDEs
Be the first one.
One of the irritating things about making video games with any sort of procedural generation is their astonishing ability to generate things that are TECHNICALLY fine and correct but just deeply, *deeply* unhelpful for the one specific thing you're currently trying to test. It's uncanny.
Wow, really? I *loved* that ep!
Yes!
It's also, honestly, the sort of thing the MCU should be moving into (weirder, less formulaic stuff) but I suspect their takeaway from Wonder Man at the moment is to go back to cookie cutter scripts about superheroes shooting laser beams.
In case you're not aware, "Wonder Man" is the best thing MCU has done in... ages? Like, possibly ever?
I feel like it sank without a trace, but it's incredibly good. Like, 10/10 good, and you should actively seek it out.
I deffo used the guts one for the Wishlist Now splash at the end of the Demo. Should have been used elsewhere, it's gloooorious.
Artwork for Earth Must Die. A large logo with VValak and Milky standing next to it, VValak holding the earth in his hands looking evil. Milky is looking worried.
Same layout as the previous design with a large Earth Must Die logo with VValak and Milky next to it, but this time there's a bloody mess on the floor covering part of the logo. VValak and Milky are covered in blood splatter and various gibbage.
Just found these Earth Must Die bits of art I did. We made a safe and not-so-safe version, unsure if the bloody version was ever used?! I liked the art anyway!
This is a really interesting watch, and well worth your time. #gamedev
This about me again?
OKAY but STOP what's really important about this story is that the name of the PR who was unable to control the impulse to lash out is called Will Powers.
