I fully agree, but my aim was to use the "good stuff" on these to see if there is any difference. But I am missing 2x 22r resistors, 3x 1uf film caps and 2x 100p mlcc caps. This built will have nothing from Tayda outside of the enclosures.
Maybe this doesn't matter at all, but I wanted to see.

I have to do an order tonight because I am missing four resistors.... But going to add about $80 of stuff I don't need.
I have found the true art of pedal design and building is to start projects, get 97% done and realize you need a few more parts. Once you have 4-5 projects to this point you can justify an order for the missing stuff plus some extras for a new project or two. At this point the cycle just continues.

Nice! Yeah it's basically a dual drive where one half is a Nobles and the other a Blues breaker. Nothing ground breaking, but I love a good blue breaker circuit and who doesn't like gain staging!
These will be clones of the Browne Amplifications Protein pedal.

I am only just beginning this book, but in the opening monologue and first chapter I have already had my eyes opened to many things I do in the work place just to look productive while probably not being that productive at all.
I hope to apply these concepts for pedal design as well!
