It’s noisy outside this morning. Coyotes, barred owl, turkeys, cardinals. Can’t hear myself think.

This video of the damages to the Chehel Sotoun palace in Isfahan is hard to watch. The finest example of Safavid architecture, the palace is a marvel of art & architecture that has survived more than 400 years. It is unbelievable that the “most moral army in the world” has cared so little about it.

Ha! Can't wait! Coincidentally I was just looking at some of these interpretations last night as well as those for Thorwald's Cross, Sigurd's Cross (Andreas 121) and the Heysham hogback - in the latter two cases, because of the birds depicted.
