This would end any other President instantly. But the press doesn't care.
And I mean this w/sincere gratitude. I have been tempted to be smaller, set my sights lower when personal circumstances created barriers & challenges. But when I watch/learn from these women who have fought, nurtured, accomplished, sacrificed…I’m in awe. And it’s why we must show tf up for them.
Black women have changed my life. It started with “they know how to organize” but has moved to “oh and build communities, take care of each other, achieve incredible things under oppression, w/o credit, still find joy &have beautiful skin. Not to minimize hard things but there are so many lessons.

Agreed. I actually heard from someone in a local chapter, an organizer I've worked with for years in Maine. Who was annoyed that the white folks in chapters here heard about this endorsement, but no one they knew was consulted.
One criticism of this endorsement that I don't see in any of the reactions is that SURJ doesn't reference Mainers of color or Maine organizations in this endorsement and so it is yet another example of outsiders not talking to or even noticing Mainers of color and their perspectives
