Charge by solar at say 6 cents per kWh and that comes down to $4.41 for 500km plus $38 RUC. Most of our cost is then RUC. Sigh!

500 / 6.8 x 0.3 =22.0588

😂 - it’s in the ball park. RUC $38 and maybe $22 for electricity assuming 6.8km per kW and electricity 30c/kW. So, $60 for 500km. Still way better than petrol.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m an EV owner But isn’t RUC $76 per 1000km which is $38 per 500km. Something doesn’t add up here?

It has that for electricity, but not for energy in general, which is 40%.

Most come with a 8 or 10 amp charger that you plug into any plug on your wall. We’ve charged a 2015 Leaf like this for four years. Charge overnight… like your phone!
