Cut the top off and stuck it in some water. We got roots so I'll be planting it soon.
Solo trip was a success.
I thought the aloe plant blooming indoors was a fluke the first time. It's about to bloom again. It hasn't even been a year yet. 🤯
Definitely give it a shot. They take a while to fruit, a year at least. You need a spot that gets a lot of light. My plants get 8-10 hours or more of sunlight every day. Short videos online will show you how to start from a pineapple crown. The rest is basic plant care. They just need time.
This is the second pineapple I've grown. The one I ate last year is somewhere in my media. I'm currently growing a new pineapple plant from the top of that one. This will be another pineapple in a year or so
Final update: It was sweet.
This is the second one I've grown indoors. My condo faces South so I get a crazy amount of natural light. This pic on the left is the first that I grew. I ate it last year in June. I cut the top off and planted it. The pic on the right is what it looks like now
Yep, as I thought, it's about done. Once it's nice and yellow it'll be sweet enough to eat.

I haven't posted an update on here in months. This thing is smaller and growing slower than the parent it sprouted from. Only the crown is growing so it's probably close to being done.
