Really enjoyed (audiobook) The Folded Sky by @matociquala.bsky.social. Highly enjoyable space opera, good alien speculative culture stuff. It's the third in a series, but they all seem relatively independent of each other.

At senior levels, your own company doesn’t even have to be sexist to “benefit” from sexism - hiring a sr level employee means hiring someone who has had many previous jobs. Women get sidelined or stalled or burnt out due to bad workplaces so of course there are fewer sr level qualified resumes.

To expand on this point ... the thing is, bad actors LIE. Nazis LIE. My understanding is that his policies sound pretty good to a lot of folks, and that's great but - will he have your back? Will he really actually support immigrants against ICE? Is he honest? Does he have integrity?

I work with email professionally. Spammers are using AI to uplevel all their schemes, everything from sketchy quasi legal businesses to outright scams and crimes. They might want him as target or bait or to lend legitimacy or all kinds of unsavory plans.
One of my regular sayings at work is “spammers ruin everything.” Sorry to hear you’re dealing with that.
