Fascinating how in successive clips of Jennings he both utters the phrase, “ yes, because I want the law enforced” AND, “but let’s not get our knickers in our twist (over the doj not releasing the Epstein files)”.

The new Starfleet Academy is good, but the fact that all the aliens have human teeth really bothers me.
Not to mention the debasement of the soup itself. It tastes terrible now.

As seen in The Metropolitan Museum of Art.
Mossy rock, yellow leaf, dried grasses in satisfying autumnal tones.
On Saturday I stepped outside.
Well, I do every day. But when I stooped to pick up a piece of trash that had blown across, I was taken by the colors and textures here. A not so special spot in my yard that really is beautiful as it decays.

This is cool.
I learned how to synchronized swim at 45! Always be learning!

How to “legally” fund Snap? Nothing else has been legal so far, why now?
Just started Andor and the world building and sets are so beautifully done. A much more believable grit and fabric than previous Star Wars shows.
I for one think the Epstein Ballroom will be magnificent. I love the decor theme of “what if Uday Hussein ran a Ramada Inn.” And giving it a theme song everyone will associate with it is a stroke of brilliance! “Thank Heaven for Little Girls” is very catchy.

Everything Will Be Taken Away by Adrian Piper. These always stop me in my tracks when visiting a Met museum. I’ve found 4 of the, this one hanging at The Cloisters.
South Park’s new episode is a masterpiece.
Update on Sprite+Tea
Tastes like a fizzy southern sweet tea. Probably way better over ice than straight from the bottle.
Reserving for hot summer day pairings with shrimp and grits.
Some days I really can’t get it and I try not be mad about it. Today was a 5/5 difficulty day and I’m feeling pretty good. Connections

Just dropped my oil paintings off at the gallery for Form & Figure group show starting Saturday at the Amity Gallery. Pretty proud of this group!

It was worth the 3 day wait!
Pepperoni pizza sourdough focaccia. Fluffy, infused with cheese and lightly saucy, with a surprise pepperoni every so often. Magnificent!
Rosemary, sea salt & winey goat cheese + pepperoni pizza sourdough focaccia on the bake! Only about 1 more hour to go in this 3 day focaccia journey.
Sourdough Focaccia is deceptively difficult. I started this on Thursday. One large will be for dinner, smaller ones are savory and sweet for snacks.

Inventing the Renaissance: The Myth of a Golden Age by Ada Palmer
Page XVII of the Prologue to Inventing the Renaissance.
Today is a good day to start a new book. Embarking on Ada Palmer’s Inventing the Renaissance: The Myth of a Golden Age. Looking forward to constant reminders that history repeats itself, and that everything we think we know is a just a widely held tall tale.

Exactly!
Seated male figure in oil paint.

Long pose life drawing in an old church today. Nice venue and ambient light to paint in.
