Alberta Funds Public Schools A Citizen Initiative petitioning the Government of Alberta to improve its Public Education funding model.

Alberta pours an egregious amount of public funds into private schools. We’re one of only a few provinces that fund private schools at all, at higher levels than any other jurisdiction. Meanwhile, public schools continue to be defunded and attacked. This entire situation should outrage everyone.

It’s always interesting to me that all these anti-trans bigots like to claim “basic biology” as a shield for their hatred. Yet, when you ask them to explain, their understanding of biology falls far short of “basic”. 🏳️‍⚧️

Just a reminder to anyone who wants to lick Peter Lougheed’s asshole as some stellar example of an exceptional Premier, he’s the reason we have the Notwithstanding Clause, and also why Alberta’s economy is so heavily tied to selling our garbage product to the US. So he can eat shit IMHO.

Because you’re saying, as a politician, as someone who claims to be interested in leadership, that you lack either the skills or the will to discuss with your constituents that they should try compassion and empathy. You know, some of the most basic skills we teach children. That’s too hard for you.

Arguing that economic issues are all that matters, to the exclusion of all else is the same delusion as “fiscally conservative but socially progressive”. So you’re debasing the humanity of multiple people for what amounts to a fantasy.

I’m incredibly frustrated by the argument that so-called progressives keep making purporting to “meet the electorate”, or to steer clear of “hot button issues” because people don’t care about that, or anything that mentions a purity test. Not only is it outright offensive, it’s so blatantly lazy.
