Snow, rain, or extreme double digit cold will keep people who aren't there for necessity out. Today it is incredibly fucking cold.
As seen in December and January, if the cold snap lasts a few days, people will eventually come in as they acclimate to it. Between snow and cold, this week is crap.
Factoring foot traffic, residences and landmarks, and upcoming events as if those were the only forces at play misses one of the biggest factors in clients and daily sales.
So let's talk about the weather.
My store, or any brick and mortar store, honestly, depends on decent weather for clients.
I don't often open on weekdays, but I am this week due to scheduling requirements and it has been very slow today which is obviously disconcerting for any business.
That said, my own projection models for the last month and a half have been incredibly out of whack. It's weeks of feast or famine. 🪡
