This hatred was gradually developed by humans. From ideas, words, stereotypes & prejudice through legal exclusion, dehumanization & escalating violence... to systematic and industrial murder.
Auschwitz took time.
However, the ultimate threat in the Baltic Sea region remains the potential culmination and escalation of grey zone and hybrid activities towards conventional armed conflict. In other words, next to current challenges one must consider naval warfare in the Baltic Sea:

Threats to critical infrastructure, grey zone aggression and #NATO #BalticSentry response are currently dominating headlines regarding the #BalticSea. As I stated for years, the Baltic Sea is hardly anyone's "lake".
