You just know these motherfuckers will ensure there’s a bikeless day counterpart in the name of “equality”.

This is the same 2020 study you might have seen before, but it's true. I was gamely riding a lightweight street bike when and where I could, but it wasn't until I got an e-bike that the bike became my main means of transport.

The problem is that it doesn't land when you've been in government for over two years, have been the architect of an economic plan that halted our post-COVID recovery, and have a plan that relies on imported fossil fuels to allegedly give us energy security when much better options are right there.

Air New Zealand is set to cancel around 1100 flights affecting thousands of passengers through until early May.

And to think our travel agent laughed at us when we approached them for Plan B options for our flight transiting through Qatar on May 2nd.

"We'll release our policy when we're ready. Also we're not the government. You are."

Yep. It grates so much because of her demonstrable levels of incompetence.

Am I doing this right?

Possibly. Although they do still require a higher level of engagement in current events than many voters exhibit.

It's a hard problem to solve <shrug>.

There are definitely much better ways of getting your political news. But many voters don't actively seek that information.

So it really needs to be a format where it's essentially "Not a political show, but summarises political news".

Well, it is to us. But we need this message to get through to the segment of voters who only get politically informed by shows like Breakfast and the 6PM news.

I'd love to see all political parties given the same pool of money to campaign with, and any outside donations are made illegal.

I don't see reducing the donation cap as a solution, as that still feels still too exploitable (e.g. big corp makes multiple donations on behalf of employees).

The Finance Minister fronting on TVNZ Breakfast and saying to the opposition "OK, what would YOU do?" should be a clear indication that she is completely out of her depth and has no plan. #nzpol

It’s also funny how one of the features of Trickle Down economics appears to be shutting down sites or moving operations offshore when “costs” get too much here. 🤔 #nzpol

Could we just perhaps have a little enquiry about the rapid rise of antivax rhetoric and the impacts of vaccine hesitancy? As a treat?

Winston Peters and David Seymour aren't interested in facts but every media outlet in this country should be calling them out for deliberately spreading disinformation #nzpol

In a sane political environment donations wouldn’t be a thing at all.

I’m going to be selling my Switch 1 with upgraded controllers, Pokémon Snap, and all the normal peripherals and a case. It’ll be going on TradeMe soon so if you want it before then, HMU.

The "Is This A Pigeon" meme where, original, a character gestures toward a butterfly and asks "is this a pigeon?"

Here the butterfly has been replaced with a new headline screenshot reading "Heinz Wattie's plans to shut three factories, 350 jobs at risk" and the caption text reads: Is this "getting New Zealand back on track"?

In a sane political environment, the iReX debacle would have the current government unelectable this November.

In a term chocka block with monumental cock ups, this has be pretty much in the no. 1 position. #nzpol
