Never gets old. New column in the NYT, talking about new books by Ana Paula Maia, Tim Lebbon, Lindsay King-Miller, and John Langan.
Half the people I follow are MTG related and I don't have any ambitions of looking at the new sets cause theyre rapid firing them off to keep up with Hasbro's greed and I don't want to throw any money at it.
Also I got a new interest that is kind of expensive so ya know.
Occasionally I remember to take some video on my hikes.

Letter from Kurt Vonnegut to high school students - "Dear Xavier High School, and Ms. Lockwood, and Messrs Perin, McFeely, Batten, Maurer and Congiusta: I thank you for your friendly letters. You sure know how to cheer up a really old geezer (84) in his sunset years. I donβt make public appearances any more because I now resemble nothing so much as an iguana. What I had to say to you, moreover, would not take long, to wit: Practice any art, music, singing, dancing, acting, drawing, painting, sculpting, poetry, fiction, essays, reportage, no matter how well or badly, not to get money and fame, but to experience becoming, to find out whatβs inside you, to make your soul grow. Seriously! I mean starting right now, do art and do it for the rest of your lives. Draw a funny or nice picture of Ms. Lockwood, and give it to her. Dance home after school, and sing in the shower and on and on. Make a face in your mashed potatoes. Pretend youβre Count Dracula. Hereβs an assignment for tonight, and I hope Ms. Lockwood will flunk you if you donβt do it: Write a six line poem, about anything, but rhymed. No fair tennis without a net. Make it as good as you possibly can. But donβt tell anybody what youβre doing. Donβt show it or recite it to anybody, not even your girlfriend or parents or whatever, or Ms. Lockwood. OK? Tear it up into teeny-weeny pieces, and discard them into widely separated trash recepticals. You will find that you have already been gloriously rewarded for your poem. You have experienced becoming, learned a lot more about whatβs inside you, and you have made your soul grow. God bless you all! Kurt Vonnegut"
The Kurt Vonnegut letter to those high school kids is never wrong -
Don't they also have like fashion shows or something? Or is that just whenever you change their outfits?
The first time Charlie Chaplin used his voice in a film, he wielded it to forcefully condemn the rising forces of fascism around the globe. Will we listen to his words today?

Hereβs some Gary Bunt art to make your Friday a little better.
Everyday I'm remind of the phrase, "There is no ethical consumption under capitalism", because half the interests I have seem to be intentbon appealing to shitty people or some kind money grubbing fuckery.
Well said!!
Desaturated blue somewhere would work! For the trim of the rider, I'll use a
a darker blue wash that was thinned down to translate the dry brushed highlights.
I was also thinking of using a really dark blue shading on the plates and calling it a day
I did have the idea of painting them blue to look like the Blue Mustang statue outside of Denver International Airport, but again, I'm worried it would oversaturate the color composition
Im struggling with how to paint the armor of my juggernauts. I know most people paint it the same color as the riders, but I think that would oversaturate the color composition of the minis.
Any ideas?

As someone in recent years who got their drivers license, a car, and having to commute to work, I really miss taking the bus sometimes. Like let me zone out listening to music for a good 30 to 40 minutes instead of having to dodge psycho truck drivers and people that don't pay attention.
Aww lol! I bet the freckles were just as cute then as they are now!
I like your freckles!
