Started this book a few days ago.. wow and I mean wow. Indigenous horror/thriller set in Toronto, multi-POV, propulsive page turning plot, folklore, interwoven relationships. Get it in front of your eyeballs/earballs stat!

Pouring over my TBR lists for 2025 knowing a few things:
1. I will be reading less than in recent years due to circumstances
2. I want to prioritize books I own and authors I’ve already read.

People, let it be known that the pared down list contains 75 books 👀

I’ve been in research mode the last few weeks. I want to write more but find I need to add some depth and context to things. Highly recommend this book for an understanding of First Nations in the centre of Canada.

Started a blind date with a book biz with a friend. So far we’ve sold almost 100 used books in less than three weeks and had a lot of fun helping others choose books for loved ones.

First query got over 100 rejections but an agent asked me to send them whatever I write next first… working on that next thing: three generations of Mennonite women struggle to understand their place in the world as they become more distanced from the ideals that brought their ancestors to Canada.
