Hello! I love reading & writing about supernatural horror, science fiction, and fantasy. My favorite stories are about normal people in wild situations, wild people in normal situations, or just all-around madness.
Dean Koontz was my gateway into horror. I only read fantasy/romance/mystery until my friend forced The Bad Place into my hands.

When Brokeback Mountain came out, the closest theatre screening was an hour away (I lived in a very conservative town). You better believe my friends and I happily piled into my car for a fun day trip out of town.

The cynical part of me wants to assume they were testing the waters to see what they could get away with, but after following last year’s fiasco with the Ontario Eden Mills Writers Festival inviting an ‘AI author’ and the organizers bafflement that festival goers would be upset was eye opening.

This set of observations is produced by my scrolling Reddit and otherwise listening to people talk about "how to write."
A) there is no requirement that any of your characters has any sort of "arc" let alone a redemption.
B) there is also no requirement that your fiction has a plot.

And…subscribed. Beautifully and hilariously well said! I’m a private person and not much into social media or blogging but posts like this have made me realize I absolutely need to to make sure people know I’m a human fueled by human thoughts and human existential dread
Apparently I'm doing this -- my open letter to that open latter about AI in writing and publishing. I emerged from Hibernation Week to write it, so god only knows how much sense it makes. But at least a human wrote it, so that's nice.
