A pair used to breed back in the 70's at Bow bridge along with Tree Sparrow and Lesser Spot. How times change.
Both Tony W and I have seen Marsh Tit at Lollingdon over the last 10 years. Only about 4 records though

I had a Starling in Wallingford that perfectly mimicked a Corn Bunting.
Quite how shore nets like these are legal is beyond me. Two turnstones were trapped this morning at Rhos Point. I untangled both and they were able to fly off unharmed before being drowned by the rising tide.
Sounds like another large country annexing land for their own benefit regardless of other opinions.
We desperately need some convictions for these crimes - not just those killing the birds, but those who are paying them to do it.
The shooting estates refuse to clean up their act. It's time to make them.

Hen Harrier Susie, whose chicks were stamped to death on a Yorkshire Dales grouse moor in 2022, has been found dead on a N Pennines grouse moor with gunshot injuries.
