Love Story is a fantastic recreation of the 90’s. A magical time when JFK jr strutted around New York & was the unofficial Prince of the City who resembled a young Bruce Wayne in his prime. Wonderfully acted by the two leads who have amazing chemistry. Loved every minute of it!

Told my 4yr old son that I loved him today. He waited a beat and answered: I know. I was as proud as if he had thrown a touchdown.

#WarMachine is a relentless action film in the vein of such 80’s classics as PREDATOR, ALIENS & COMMANDO & Alan Ritchson is this generation’s Arnold Schwarzenegger. A fun non stop action thrill ride. Been awhile since we’ve seen a film with a cruel monster that feels unstoppable.

#Scream7 is a fun nostalgic gore-filled extravaganza. Great to see Neve Campbell return. She is the modern Scream Queen/Final Girl. I will never tire of this series and look forward to the inevitable next installment!

Some of us… the best of us make art to deal with grief. Thru art we can resurrect the dead… even if it’s for the briefest time. #Hamnet is a powerful exploration of creativity, family, love & deep soul shattering grief. Jessie Buckley will win the Oscar. A great but heartbreaking film.

#Crime101 is a slow burn tension rmachine that continually surprised me. Great kinetic heists, cool car chases & vivid characterizations of good people doing bad things because life keeps screwing them over.A great LA set film based on a story from the master of crime @donwinslow

Bradley Cooper’s #IsThisThingOn? is a hope-filled exploration of the wear and tear of marriage & shows you can reinvent yourself and your relationship with your significant other late in life. A gentle film with a next level performance from Will Arnett who really shines in this.

#Primate is a fun, tense thriller flowing with gore & creative kills. It has pretty people in peril in a beautiful location. It doesn’t waste any time getting to the action & never lets up until the final frame. It’s CUJO with a crazed pet chimp. A beautifully shot slasher flick!

#WutheringHeights is Emerald Fennell’s interpretation of the novel. It’s her singular vision of star crossed impossible love that turns into obsession, despair and eternal heartbreak. Margo & Jacob are electric together. The costumes, sets & production design are sumptuous. WOWZA

#GoodLuckHaveFunDontDie could only come from the singular mind of Gore Verbinski. Unhinged, funny, prescient & utterly entertaining. It eviscerates our society’s social media addiction with a scalpel. Sam Rockwell is perfect as the loon from the future sent back to save us all. Loved it!

Sam Raimi delivers the perfect Friday night movie with #SendHelp which is part screwball comedy, part battle of the sexes with a dash of eat the rich. But what’s incredible are the twists & turns you’ll never see coming. Rachel McAdams is sensational. What a great script!

Amazing!

I hate to say this to my American brothers & sisters but this football game is sooooo boring. Thank goodness for #BadBunny!

Marty Supreme is frantic and moves like a bullet train. Timothy Chalamet delivers a multi-layered performance. He’s not always likeable but you still can’t help but root for him. A treatise on narcissism & lazer focus at any cost & to the detriment of everyone in your life.

#YourFriendsAndNeighbors is Jon Hamm’s masterpiece. A clever dissection of the rich elite & how empty & vacuous their lives are. It also delivered the greatest meme of the year with Hamm dancing the night away in a nightclub. Hamm is effortlessly cool. Super fun show!

Apocalyptic

Finally caught up with #HeatedRivalry & it’s such a phenomenal ballsy unicorn of a show. Feels like the suits let the creatives do something really special. Shane & Ilya are iconic. Loved every second of it. Can’t wait for season 2. Glad it was shot in my city of Montreal. GO METROS GO!

#SongSungBlue is fantastic! A beautiful story of two people falling in love later in life & inspiring each other to pursue their impossible dreams. A story about 2nd chances in life. There’s a shocking moment that made me scream at the screen. Kate Hudson may win the Oscar.

#TrainDreams is the best Terrence Malick movie he never directed. A tone poem about resilience in the face of enormous heartbreak. Such a lovely melancholy film with an amazing central performance by Joel Edgerton. But man, did this movie break my heart. Deserves all the accolades.

#Bugonia is absolutely bonkers. It’s compelling & impossible to take your eyes off of. A film that reflects our looney conspiracy laden times. A film about class warfare & conspiracy lunatics that ends on a nihilistic haunting note. Emma Stone is incredible as a titan of industry with a big secret.

#TheRipOnNetflix is a fantastic addition to the pantheon of dirty cops pulling off a crazy heist movies. There’s something special about seeing Matt & Ben together on screen. They absolutely crackle in this. Ben is wiry & intense while Matt is slippery & sneaky. Super fun film!

Ralph Fiennes is absolutely stunning in #28YearsLaterTheBoneTemple. Will rank as one of the best performances of the year. His kindness and ability to see beauty even in the most dire of circumstances is an example to us all during these dark times we live in. A masterclass of acting!

#28YearsLaterTheBoneTemple is the most METAL zombie flick in the history of cinema & I mean that literally. You’ll know when you see it. A blood-soaked treatise on religious idolatry, good vs evil & the battle for the soul of a child that bears witness to unimaginable horrors. A masterful sequel.
