A lot of people think it sucks, in fact. And I get it because compared to Yoshis Island it crushed me with disappointment when I was a kid. But it's really great still.
How is ysX? I've heard conflicting reports. But I'm not even totally sure the series is for me anymore. I enjoyed 1-Napishtim but 7 and 8 and especially the Celcetta remake were kinda losing me by the ends.
Yeah this game took me a couple tries to get into as well. The break system in its combat though ends up being pretty interesting. The intro is incredible though. That opening theme is one of the greatest OST tracks in video games.... www.youtube.com/watch?v=3saT...
This game goes quick and is very gameplay focused. I liked it quite a bit. The soundtrack is also just ridiculously good.
Thats funny to me even WITH context
Last year I played this game all the way up to the god fight and just kept getting bodied. didn't have a chainsaw and gave up.
modern AAA I'm there with you. and I think they've become so unsustainable as a business model that we'll see less and less of that...
I play dragon quest horizontally with a handheld precariously held directly above my face. This was less dangerous on gameboy color than it is with a Switch 2!
Woah what the heck even the ones shown on the box are wrong.
Penultimate Fantasy
Bonus
Yes you sure can... and with the ability to hook up to a CRT natively no less
I frickin loved your game. I even gifted two copies on steam to friends for christmas.
They feel more like golden era SNES and PS1/2 jrpgs than modern ones. Got to look to the past for something that scratches that particular itch.
Oh my god.. yeah this is a little too high effort to be for funsies
I gifted my two best friends copies of consume me on steam with a Christmas morning delivery date ๐
My wife who is a pretty casual gamer really enjoys it. I think it has a lot to do with just being able to get into it for like a couple weeks maybe once or twice a year and the game will have a totally different map, guns, vehicles, etc. to play around with every time she comes back to it.
Yeahhh some of the MK World hate has felt disingenuous. It was a launch game and that's probably why. But MK consistently just "feels right" and I dont know if theres a better quality for a kart racer to have other than "feels right".
Im using the back buttons on switch 2 pro controller for this a lot lately
I loved Let's Go Pikachu and have such fond memories of setting up my switch on its dumb barely functional little kickstand in my car playing with this pokeball between classes.
Ha. Yeah, same. I wonder if Balatro-likes (or whatever history decides to call them) will stick around or go out of vogue. At least it is sort of popularizing the arcade style xbox live arcade esque game again.
