Today we must not only remember and honor the brave victims of Bloody Sunday, but commit to fighting for voting rights at every level. That’s exactly what I intend to do when I get to the U.S. Senate.
61 years ago today, peaceful protesters marching for voting rights were brutally attacked in what would become one of the most pivotal moments of the Civil Rights Movement. And here we are, decades later, still seeing attacks on our voting rights.
