The UK has a massive problem with white supremacism and racism. It also has a massive problem with ableism. The UK government are playing to both these prejudices right now. Reform and the Tories too.
Setting disabled and black communities against each other only serves them, and weakens all of us.

Americans are so obsessed with race that they're willing to throw other marginalised communities under the bus to prioritise the societal polarisation that they've made. It should be blatantly obvious to people that Davidson experienced a tic that doesn't reflect his actual sentiment.
John Davidson makes a film to show people like him have a place in society, has an unfortunate tic at an event where the film receives accolades, and a working class Scottish advocate is being now told by keyboard warriors that he has no place in society... wow.

what I was doing but I was having to learn it too quickly. But then how long do I need to be spending on art? What do I need to be doing? There's so many ways you can approach it and it puts me off. What life drawing resources? How do you effectively create "studies"? It's just too much. (2/2)
Having just dropped out of art school, I've heard this message time and time again, but I've found it so hard to make "bad" art. I was studying animation, which required so much technical knowledge, but it's so much to learn and it doesn't get any easier to pick up. I really wanted to like (1/2)
As we enter the New Year remember fear of making bad art is holding you back. Fear of people not liking your work is holding you back. Rejection is holding you back
You'll make bad art, you'll have people not like your work, and you'll be rejected. Moving past it is half the job of being a creative
Also, if you're concerned about languages of aggression and invaders, maybe don't look into the other UN languages... including the one we're using to communicate right now.
Unless there's something I don't know about, my recent travels in Central Asia contradict the idea that native languages were "wiped away". Tajik, Uzbek and Kazakh were all widely spoken alongside Russian. Young children only spoke their mother tongue, and most people are multilingual.
That much is true, but hence why he said "Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have come not to abolish but to fulfill" (Matthew 5:17 NRSV). Jesus fulfilled the laws through his sacrifice, abolishing the practices that allowed the moneychangers' fraud to take hold.
The point I was making is that Russian is widely spoken, particularly for interethnic communication, across the former USSR, and it shouldn't be exclusively tied into the Russian state/ethnicity as it has been here. It's one of the official languages of the United Nations for this precise reason.
