Image a crop field with a turbine covered hill in the background. Text reads: Help inform the UK government's approach to land use We need your expertise to inform our response to the governments Land Use Framework consultation
Do you have expertise in UK land use? We want to hear from you!
The UK government is currently consulting on the future of land use in England. To ensure the voice of the ecological community is heard, we will be producing a response to this consultation.

Back with this beautiful book again. It's the unusual combination of being powerful and provoking but also brilliantly accessible. Have you read it?
I absolutely loved reading these. πππ
Phosphate levels on our stretch of the Irwell today. 0.1ppm is the recommended upper level. This is likely to signify a highly polluted river.

I basically just want to live in a world where there are still phones in this building and I walk out of my house to use one to call my friends. πβοΈπ
Not a suggestion for Belfast....but one day can you and Tyson Yunkaporta get together. I think that would be absolutely amazing. X
I love these conjoined trees in the nature reserve. Reaching out and holding on. ππ³π Has anybody ever seen trees doing this before? #forest #trees #nature
Fortunately we didn't! π
I think it may be Perkins Purple dye - "Developed in the 1860's London Purple was a vibrant purple dye that was very popular. It was used both as a fabric dye and pesticide. Made from lime, ferrous oxide, aniline (poison), and Arsenic Trioxide(poison)! Poison purple clothing, bad idea!" β οΈβ οΈβ οΈ

I wish I could share my home fermented, nut milk kefir with you. I can't believe how good it is. And the nut pulp from making the milk has been used to make a delicious "cream" cheese. πππ
I love this.
Wow! That is beautiful.
Gorgeous!
Stunning!
Absolutely obsessed by the way that these fungi in the nature reserve were following the root away from the tree. The wild world is incredible. #nature #fungi #mycellium

Update on the blue Victorian poison bottle. When I cleaned it the powder in it (which I thought was soil) turned the water bright blue. What might it be? #localhistory #archaeology #industrialarchaeology
Degrowth is more than just an academic discipline. It is a convivial movement with care at its centre, based on values such as solidarity and justice, and on a commitment to transforming the world in a way that respects people and nature. Yet like all communities, degrowth consists of people.
Beautiful irises in our garden today. They are a fleeting feature, but whilst they are here they are pure perfection.
