Amazing! Thank you
I can confirm some corners were chewed.
Making some card decks as "research probes" to help people understand their digital footprint and how third parties use it. With the help of 2 doggos. Help with conceptualisation might get them authorship credits.
I've recently started a project to provide stable identifiers for 'artifacts' (mostly maker/research/hobby electronics) to help combat link rot and aid discoverability.
It works much like DOIs for papers, but is based on an open index maintained on GitHub - see hwidx.org for details :)
We have three new UCREL ( @ucrelnlp.bsky.social ) Corpus Research Seminar (CRS) videos out today; these were recorded some time ago, but our editor (me!) and approvals to release took a little while :)
Excited to be part of this and super timely given the government announcement to introduce digital ids.

Our goal is to transform ethics from a reactive process into a proactive one, empowering researchers to confront emerging ethical challenges with greater confidence.
Additionally, we highlight the optimal moments in the research timeline for these essential discussions. To support this initiative, we have created an app, comprehensive informational resources, a question spreadsheet, and flowcharts to help prompt and document these conversations.
Our DECIDE framework is specifically designed to facilitate these conversations. It provides a series of questions that encourage researchers to critically engage with ethical considerations as they progress.
These dialogues are crucial for tackling new challenges arising from emerging technologies that may not be addressed by current regulations and can emerge at any point in the research journey.
Typically, ethics is viewed as a matter of completing forms and submitting proposals for review. However, what if we could foster a culture where ethical discussions are integrated throughout the entire research process?
How can we more effectively address ethical risks in digital behavioural research, particularly when utilising behavioural data generated from technology interactions, such as social media activity, app usage, sensor data, and other digital footprints?
Now Published: The DECIDE Framework!

Aims to enhance ethical discussions in digital behavioural research. We propose integrating ethical dialogues throughout the research process to address challenges posed by emerging technologies #DECIDEFramework

Excited to share some new mobile technology in development! prosquared.org/2025-LSS-Pap... Watch this space! Feel free to reach out if you are interested in testing prototypes. @prosquared.org
When you present at a non-psychology conference and you need to introduce the field. @prosquared.org Hope I did us proud.
Getting hands-on at day 2 of the Device Prototyping Summer School with a PCB surface mount assembly tutorial! Delegates worked with the 'solder:bit' developed by Lancaster Uni's Devices Lab, which will be used to control a BBC micro:bit

Our panel session on ethical issues in Cyberpsychology with leading experts is under way, with crucial questions being tackled such as the use of content on social media, AI, and public versus private content for data collection #cyber25
I think it was fate that this appeared on my feed when I opened the app. Really exciting :)
When should we have discussions about ethics during the research process ? Looking forward to presenting the DECIDE framework today at #Cyber25 @bpscyberpsychology.bsky.social
I see we are on a panel together ! Looking forward to chatting :)
