Glad to see this! The way Trump and Vance behaved in the meeting is something I never thought I would see. And I am astonished by the people who cheer for such kind of behaviour.
This is why public health education programs should be encouraged. Changing opinions of people is a difficult thing but uninformed people succumb to these anti-vax conspiracy theories.
Without funding for media, we risk losing truthful reporting to the will of politicians. A free press is only as strong as those who stand behind it. Many countries have mainstream media outlets that push certain narratives suiting the agenda of political party in power who fund them.
The first measles death in the US in a decade -- the tragic, preventable death of a child whose parents chose not to protect them with vaccination -- should spark an immediate nation-wide campaign to ensure all children are protected against preventable diseases. Anything less is unconscionable.
