At the muddy sections at Kalmankaltio my bike fell over exactly on the handlebar-end and broke my shifter. Shifting gears took quite some effort after that.
Curious if this fix will last.

Fixing the damage #Ruska2025 inflicted to my bicycle.
A puncture on the rocky road at CP2 later turned out to be less innocent. With no spare tyre or bike shop at hand, i covered the hole with a peanutbag+tube-strip. Had to refresh this once but it held for >500km
Finnished, again a beautiful ride thru Suomi (and a bit of Norja). Seeing the wood through the trees was hard. #ruska2025
CP3 done, that was a different type of cycling. #ruska2025
Stanps for cp2 and cp3 have been collected, but the parcours is still long. Beautiful surroundings, but wet and rainy weather sometimes. #ruska2025
CP1 parcours finished, including the hike and bike requirements to reach some isolated sign.
All in all 800 km done.

It was dark at the start of parcours 1, but the moon was out too. The parcour is honoring the historic wood tar production and tar route
Still sunny, but now in Finland. Getting to #Ruska2025
Riding through sunny Germany on the way to Ruska2025
